Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 8th which means it is time to celebrate! It’s true that a mother’s work is never done but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a break.
Be sure to take a step back and take in every moment on your special day.
When my children were young I loved to see their little faces waiting for my reaction to their handmade keepsakes that would be wrapped in messy paper from school. I treasured those gifts from clay pots to macaroni glued on gold painted cans that were used for holding my pens.
As they became older it was out for breakfast and then out to the park or a paint your own pottery event.
As the years went on more and more businesses started to offer Freebies for moms…like zoos and museums. Now, there is no shortage of fun things to do with your family on Mother’s day while getting a discount or a freebie!

If you don’t want to sit in a restaurant… why not order some sandwiches to take to the park with some potato salad. You can do it Mama Bear…Yes… you can relax…just try.
